Crab Job Description

Responsible for supporting our beach manager in all beach and rental shop activities as well as being a positive representative of Whidbey Island Kayaking to all customers. This position requires good communication skills and is a physically demanding job. Previous paddlesport experience is preferred but not necessary; however a passion to learn more about paddlesports is absolutely required. Pay is minimum wage per hour.

Tasks will include:

• Helping prep equipment for tours

• Moving equipment to (and from) the beach

• Assisting with the launch and recovery of kayaks

• Maintaining clean equipment for use during the day

• Cleaning and storing all cleaned equipment at the end of the day

Minimum Requirements:

• Be able to move heavy kayaks and other awkward equipment

• Be able to walk in sand, swim, and work outdoors in both warm and cool conditions.

• Be at least 16 years old

• Current certification in adult, infant, and child CPR and First Aid
