RENTAL DETAILS

Kayak rentals include lifejackets, paddles, dry bags, sprayskirts (if requested), a bilge pump and a paddle float. Paddleboard rentals include lifejackets, paddles, and safely leashes. Drybags upon request.

• 1.5 Hour Rental Policies & Procedures:
  
  * We offer 1.5 Hour rentals from our rental kiosk at the South Whidbey Harbor in Langley.
  * Reservations are HIGHLY recommended
  * Our rental area IS NOT sheltered and is subject to wind, tides, and currents. We highly recommend one of our guided tours if you are inexperienced.
  * Once you’ve checked in, a staff member will take you to the beach and will provide an orientation that includes fitting you comfortably in the kayak, defining our paddling area, providing safety information, and identifying any hazards.
  * For groups of 4 or more, renters will be asked to identify a ‘trip leader’ who will be responsible for keeping their group together on the water and returning all gear once they are done.
  * We require that renters bring at least one cell phone with them on the water so that they have a way of communicating with us or any authority in case of emergency. We will provide a waterproof case.

Day Rental Policies & Procedures:

• Day rental fees are calculated on the calendar day; not by 24hr period. For example, if you pick up at 11:00am on Tuesday and return it at 11:00am on Wednesday, that is a 2-day rental. 

• The day rentals pick up/deliver times are from 8:00am-11:00am and all equipment must be returned by 7:00pm on the final day.

• If you are picking up sea kayaks, you must have a rack system and straps in order to safely transport our equipment. Our sea kayak tandems are 18ft long and our single sea kayaks are 15-16ft long.

• For those wanting paddle equipment while staying at an Airbnb/Vrbo with water access, we suggest our sit-on-tops which can be easily switched from 1 to 2 person capacity, are not prone to capsizing, and are fun for kids and adults.

• Day renters must be experienced paddlers who have real paddling skills (waves, wind, capsizes, & rescues,) knowledge of how to navigate the marine environment (tides, currents, weather, charts), and the capacity to accept responsibility for their actions and for the safety of the others in their group. All of these need to be present before attempting an unguided kayak trip on the sea. We require a trip plan, rental agreement, and liability waiver.

• Delivery: You may have rental equipment delivered and picked up Greenbank and all points south for $50, per load. Delivery north of Greenbank is $70 per load.

• Wetsuits are available for rental.
