Sea Life Safaris: Explorations in the Intertidal Zone
Ever touched a sea cucumber or moon snail? Can you tell the difference between a purple and green shore crab? Hint: it’s not their coloring! Which has the stronger flavor—Sea Lettuce or Bull Kelp?
The intertidal zones of the Salish Sea are some of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. Come and join our experienced and knowledgeable guides at the seashore of beautiful Whidbey Island. Together we will discover, explore, and learn hands-on about life in the intertidal zone. We invite you to take the time to look at the world around your feet and experience how it connects to the wider world around you.
