Langley Marina Kayak Tour

Conveniently launched from the marina in Langley, this is a easy way to get out on the water.  You may be treated to panoramic views of the Cascade Mountains - from Baker to Rainer and all the peaks between, or you may get to see Langley, the Village-By-The-Sea, from the sea!

Since this short tour is about 2.5 from start to finish, it's perfect for those new to kayaking, families, or for folks who have limited time.

We try to keep this our most flexible and accessible tour by offering it at least once daily in the spring and fall and twice daily in the summer.  Cost is $59.00, plus WA State sales tax and a $1 administration fee, per person.

Whidbey Half Day Kayak Adventures

Explore kelp beds and bays, spy seals and eagles, and enjoy some beach-combing too!  Our half-day adventures are for those who want a leisurely paddle, lasting memories, and more time to enjoy the beauty of Whidbey Island.

We begin these adventures from a couple of our most favorite launches on the island.   The paddling is scenic from all 3 spots with mountain views, rural coastlines and lots of wildlife.  We'll paddle for 3 to 4 hours and spend some time ashore midway to stretch our legs. We always begin with a water safety discussion and a review of paddle stroke technique.  Days and times vary for each launch site due to tides.

Sometimes wind speed and direction will force us to move the tours, but we'll be sure to let you know if you have an advance reservation. Feel free to bring your own lunch or snack with you, although we provide small snack bars and plenty of water.  For directions to each of the sites, please see our "Getting Here' page.

Cost of any of the Whidbey 1/2 day Kayak Adventures is $99.00, plus WA State sales tax and a $1 administration fee, per person.

**We must have a minimum of 4 guests to run a Whidbey Half Day Kayak Adventure.  If there are fewer than 4 people, we reserve the right to ask guests to reschedule or to pick another tour.

  • POSSESSION POINT 1/2 DAY KAYAK ADVENTURE: This departs from the Possession Point Waterfront Park in Clinton, which is close to the most southern point of Whidbey.  You can feel your busy life slip away as you launch from this remote, rocky park. Enjoy views of both the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges, look for crabs in kelp beds, hear eagle and osprey cries, and spot seals and sea lions basking on rocks. This is a great choice for people coming over from the mainland for the day since it's a 10 minute drive from the Clinton ferry.

  • SARATOGA PASSAGE 1/2 DAY KAYAK ADVENTURE: This departs from the marina in Langley, the 'Village By the Sea' which has lots of great shops, lodging, and dining.  Although we launch from town, we leave the bustle behind after just a few strokes.  Regardless of the direction the wind and tides lead us, the journey is scenic with views of the Cascade mountains, Whidbey's rural shoreline and the cliffs of Camano Island.  This tour is the best for a chance to glimpse the 'Saratoga Grays', the gray whales that frequent Puget Sound from March - May. And when we are very, very lucky, we even see orcas, mostly in late summer and early fall.  And we always keep an eye out for friendly seals, nesting eagles, and herons looking for lunch!

This departs from the Captain Coupe Park which is just east of the historic town Coupeville in central Whidbey. Penn Cove has tons of marine life, from curious seals to the coolest jellyfish, but is especially known for its bird populations.  Penn Cove is a designated IBA, "Important Birding Area," by the Audubon Society.  Winds and tides determine our paddle direction, but this tour doesn't disappoint whichever way you go....seals and birds basking on mussel docks or spectacular views of Saratoga Passage and Camano Island. This is a ideal tour for those who are based in Coupeville or Oak Harbor.

Early Morning Light Kayak Tour

Early birds rejoice!  Morning paddles are lovely because the winds are usually calm and the water is smooth as glass.  On clear days, the water reflects the golden, eastern morning light and showcases the glory of the Cascade mountain range.  Cloudy mornings are beautiful too, with the fog amplifying the morning birdsong and your paddle strokes.

We start at 7:00am and spend two hours on the water after a brief safety and paddle talk on the beach. We always launch from the Langley Marina. Cost is $59.00, plus WA State sales tax and a $1 administration fee, per person.
