Kayak Tours
All tours are by reservation; however we can sometimes sign you up on short notice. Locations are pre-determined by interest, tide and weather conditions, insuring the best conditions possible for any particular day.
We use tandem kayaks built by EasyRider Canoe & Kayak Co. The EasyRider BELUGA is inherently stable and we feel the most suitable kayak for the waters of Whidbey Island. While no kayak is un-tippable, this platform would require a highly unusual event to cause it to capsize.
Your kayaking adventure will always begin with a brief safety lesson on the beach where you'll learn paddling techniques and important kayak rescue procedures.
Langley Marina
(Possession as an alternative if there are strong northerlies)
This tour is most popular in the spring. The shore line along Whidbey's east side is also popular with the Gray Whales that come to visit every year. They tend to show up about mid March and sometimes stay until early summer. Our guide will plan this trip to give you the best opportunity for spotting the whales. Seeing Whales is not guaranteed but our experienced guides do their best.

Possession Beach Waterfront Park
(Langley as an alternative if there are strong southerlies)
In the summer the prevailing northerly winds make Possession Beach Waterfront park a favorite. After launching we head south around Possession Point, the most southern point of Whidbey Island. Our guides will lead you out to explore the kelp beds and discover the critters that live there. This is a great place to spot harbor seals, great blue heron and Bald Eagles. In summer you may see Pigeon Guillemots and Osprey fishing to feed their newly hatched chicks. On clear days you can see many of Washington's major mountain chains and peaks including The Olympics, the Cascades, Rainer and Mt. Baker.
